On December 7, at the conference hall of the hotel "Oasis" with the initiative of the Batumi Botanical Garden a workshop was held. The aim of the workshop was to introduce pest management action plans and measures for its prevention.
The meeting will be attended by representatives of LEPL National Food Agency, Ministry of Agriculture of Adjara Autonomous Republic and Municipalities' City Hall of Natural Resources and Agrarian Issues, Ajara Forest Agency, Business Associations of Beekeepers of Adjara, Hazelnuts Association, Association of Scientific Researches and Training, Representatives of Artvin Coruh University and all interested legal or physical people who were evolved in active coordination together with Coordination HQ for the fight against Asian Halyomorpha halys.
The aim of the workshop was to share and exchange the scientific and practical information; knowledge and experience of what kind of measures have been taken against Asian Halyomorpha halys; to introduce pest management action plans of the country and measures for its prevention.
Memorandum of cooperation was signed between Batumi Botanical Garden and Laboratory Research Center of the Ministry of Agriculture of Adjara Autonomous Republic, which was signed by Irakli Arachia,Director of the Garden and Ramaz Surmanidze, Head of Laboratory Research Center.
