On July 21, the Director of Batumi Botanical Garden Mr. Irakli Archaia, International Relations and Program the Coordinator of the Garden Mr. Zurab Manvelidze and Chief Specialist at the Department of Local Flora and Conservation Mr. Temur Vasadze met with the population of Goderdzi Skiing Settlement in Khulo Municipality in relation to the Alpine Garden.

The importance of the Alpine Garden not only for the local population but also for the whole Ajara and in general for high-mountainous Agrarian system of the whole county in view of approbation of economical and ecologically prospective agrarian cultures and introduction in farmer economies, as well as long-term conservation of Kolkheti elements of high-mountainous flora of Georgia and development of tourist infrastructure was discussed at the meeting.

The meeting being led in dialogue and Q-A regime was attended by the representatives from the local government and the International Organization “Merci Corps”.
