Today, a working meeting was held at Batumi Botanical Garden in relation to Alpine Botanical Garden project. The meeting, together with the leadership of Batumi Botanical Garden was attended by the Governor of Khulo Municipality, Director of Tourist Products Development Agency, the representatives of “Adjaristsqali Georgia” LLC and Small Caucasus Alliance Program.
Development plan of Goderdzi Alpine Garden and involvement of Donor Organizations was discussed at the meeting. Main objective of the project was conservation of plants and systemic development of tourism.
Alpine Botanical Garden will be equipped with relevant infrastructure, Visitor’s Center and Picnic sites. The project will be facilitated by Small Caucasus Alliance Program (ALCP), with the support program of Small Caucasus Alliances, being implemented by the non-governmental organization “Merci Corps” under funding Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.
